anatesco_green_arrow_pic Frequently asked questions

anatesco_arrow_pic How far do you travel out of the Tyler office?

Our territory is north from Gainesville Texas south to Corpus Christi, then east to Lake Charles and Alexandria, Louisiana then north to Fordyce, Arkansas and then back to Gainesville. However we have traveled as far west as New Mexico, as far south as Laredo and McAllen Texas, as far east as Alabama and as far north as Oklahoma and Kansas. As you can see, we will go to great lengths to take care of the needs of our customers.

anatesco_arrow_pic How long does it take to run a dynamometer test?

An average test can run about 30 to 45 minutes, from start to finish.

anatesco_arrow_pic How many wells can be tested in a day?

Obviously a lot depends on the time it takes to get to the wells and the amount of travel time required between each well, along with the type of test performed. Casing access and a workable brake also determines the amount of time it takes to complete a test. With that in mind, we have tested as many as 50 to 60 Sonic Fluid Levels and 20 to 25 Dynamometer tests in a day. However, we don’t want to leave anybody with the illusion that we test for speed or sheer numbers, we make sure we spend as much time as we need to evaluate each well accurately.

anatesco_arrow_pic How many years of experience does your dynamometer technician have?

Our technician has over 30 years of experience and has tested wells in California, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, New Mexico, Kansas, Texas, and even on an ocean platform. The number of wells tested by our technician would calculate in the thousands.

anatesco_arrow_pic How often should a well be tested?

Great question! Of course what we think may sound bias, however this may depend on the well itself. I know that sounds a little vague, but let me explain. We believe that every well needs to be tested every year to monitor wellbore changes while building a history. Those wells that have a higher profit margin should be run at least every 6 months or more. Our stance is that "if a pumping unit is going up and down, it needs to be going up and down efficiently", making as much production as possible with the least amount of lifting cost. We don’t live in a perfect world and the oilfield is no different, so the need to evaluate your production may vary depending on the well and the down-hole conditions.
